This piano lesson by Amy Sobek has two objectives. First Amy will show you how to break up a chord (arpeggio) similar to finger picking on a guitar. Then she will show you how to play chord inversions. Sounds complicated, but Amy will make it easy to understand. With practice and by studying the two handouts, these two concepts will make even simple songs sound beautiful.

Feel free to print the two handouts that go with this lesson - first handout. The first handout includes pictures showing examples of chord inversions.
A second handout shows the Major Diatonic Scales for common keys.
