Videos - How to use a Ti-84 Graphing Calculator

Amy's Flashcards

Ti-84 Calculator

This page contains full length training videos on how to use the ti-84 graphing calculator.

On a web site that so strongly emphasizes mental math, you might find it odd to find videos on how to use a calculator. Certainly I do feel that mental math is extremely important and would warn against excessive calculator use in the early grades. But I also feel that algebra, trigonometry and calculus students need to be able to use a powerful calculator like the ti-84.

You would not likely hire a carpenter to build you a house who didn't know how to use power tools. Likewise, math students must learn to handle a powerful problem solving tool like the ti-84.

To get the most out of these videos you should have a ti-84 calculator with you so you can pause the videos from time to time so you can emulate the procedures shown in the videos.
